SOME NOTES REGARDING MACROMODEL BASICS
Clarification of Key Use:
The Return key and the Enter key are not interchangeable. The Delete key Clear key are not interchangeable
Virtual Memory:
Virtual Memory is recommended for those users who wish to use MacroModel with 8MB of RAM or less. If you have old ROM which are not 32-bit clean, you may want to consider products such as Mode32 and other products by Connectix, Inc.
To Reduce the amount of memory MacroModel needs:
Remove presets from the Scripts folder. Choose the 8-bit renderer.
NOTES REGARDING LIGHTING, MATERIALS AND COLORS
Accurate colors for Colored Lights, Background Color and Background PICT will not be seen until the Render Type is set to 32-bit Z Buffer in the Render Set-Up Dialog and the monitor is set to millions of colors (if available on your machine).
The RenderMan presets in the scripts folder are for the application and adjustment of shader parameters for export to the RIB¬ format for PIXAR's MacRenderMan¬. The export functions of this version are disabled and are therefore cannot be used with MacRenderMan.
COMPATIBILITY
MacroModel does not support the 8*24 GC card in accelerated mode.
